Strong enhancements for strong Searchandising
In the summer-update more sales-promotional features and handling-improvements have been added to the Major Release 2012.
You can now add extra products to the search index directly in the management console. This allows you to include products that are not in your data feed. Using the new menu item “Extra Products”. With the campaign manager you can comfortably offer them time-controlled.
Target pages can now be imported via feed, whereas they could only be specified in the management console previously. And target pages now display in the search results as well as in the auto-suggest (this feature is on by default, but can be turned off in the management console).
Most popular entries and search queries
On the zero-hit pages the currently most popular categories, brands, products and also the most frequently search queries can be shown. Just select them in the zero-hit-assistant and the visitors will be taken by the hand and motivated comfortably to continue browsing and buying. With shortcodes these entries can also easily be placed on other parts of the shop, for example in a sidebar as “Currently most popular”.
